Get to know our gorgeous store owner Marian! We sat down for a quick Q&A to learn more about Marian and her business.

Why did you start All About A Girl? - I've always had a love for fabrics and patterns, and loved creating dolls clothes on my Grandmother's treadle machine as a young child. In school I got my school cert in clothing and then after leaving school I started dress making, so I've always been in the trade. Back in the 'Geraldine Days' I had my own label, and when I came to Christchurch I started a gift store. In the earthquakes when everything broke and the insurance companies weren't kind to me, we slowly edged into clothing and the rest was history!

What is the favourite part of your role? - I love choosing product! I love looking at the new season product coming through and buying with my customers in mind.

What is your favourite All About A Girl product? - I love the Homlee Imogen Top because it's versatile for wearing in all seasons

What is a wardrobe staple you cannot live without? - A good pair of trackies (especially the Elm ones!!)

What is a fashion Trend you think will be popular this year? - Definitely Coatigans!!
